Jungle Refuge: Magical Encounters with Wildlife

In the morning we will pick you up from the airport at Puerto Maldonado hotel or from the bus station. we will transfer you to the office where you can leave some luggage that you are not going to take to the tour. Our driver and guide will transfer you to the Madre de Dios river port (port capitania) to take the boat from this place. We are going to travel by boat, for one hour approximately, down the de Madre de Dios River. At the port of Lake Sandoval we start walking to Sandoval Lake Lodge, with is located beside the most beautiful lake inside of the National Reserve Tambopata, in the way we stop on the Guard Park Office to make the entrance admission. The walk to rich the lake is about an hour, arriving at the lodge where we accommodate in our comfortable rooms with nice view of the Lake. The Lodge has private baths and surrounded by pristine rain forest, extend trails system where the guarantee to see more wildlife has hight expectation. After settling we visit the Sandoval lake taking a canoe, paddling along the lake, where we can see the family of Giant River Otter, Black Caiman, Hoatzin, Herons, Cormorants, kingfishers, etc. Return to the lodge for dinner, after dinner we visit the lake again in the canoe with our flashlights to see the Caimans eyes, they are active hunting at night, where we will show and explain about the nocturnal wildlife and then return to our comfortable Lodge for the night.
